GeoVITe (Geodata Versatile Information Transfer environment) is a browser-based access to geodata for research and teaching. Based on initial developments within research projects, the platform has been operated by the Institute of Cartography and Geoinformation of ETH Zurich (IKG) since 2008. As part of the national funding programme P-5 Scientific Information by swissuniversities, GeoVITe was integrated into the service geodata4edu.ch. Since 1 July 2019, GeoVITe has continued as an independent service, operated by IKG and ETH Library.
